Gas Tank Renu - Tank Cleaning, Any Good?

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has used the Gas Tank Renu company. I have a tank that desperately needs cleaning but when I called their Houston dealer he said they drill a bunch of 2" holes in the tank during the cleanout process, then patch them up and coat the tank inside and out. What do all these holes look like on the outside after they are done? My tank looks OK now on the outside and I'm concerned the patches will be visible. Also would like to know if anyone has had problems and used their "lifetime warranty", how did that work? Thanks!

I used them around 5 years ago and am 100% happy with the finished product. Since my gas tank is exposed in the front trunk area I didn't want them to coat the outside of the tank however they did do the exterior ends (don't see). I wanted to finish it in the correct gloss black so I waved the outside coating (and the warranty). I have had zero problems plus I was told the exterior coating was just a precaution.

they did the tank on my 68 300 in 1999, inside and out. no problems and this tank was real junk before

They put in new metal where the rust holes are(you will see the patches) but do nothing with the dents. If you have dents it is best to work them out prior to giving the tank to them.

I have used the Houston Dealer providing you are using Don Hart.
They did a great job and you cant tell they drilled any holes.

Thanks to all who replied. Bill, Don Hart was who I called, it's good to hear your recommendation. I'm a little concerned about shipping the tank to them, they said to drain it, flush with water, duct tape the holes and ship it UPS. Is that really going to take care of any gas fumes, I would hate to hear about a UPS truck blowing up on the way to Houston!
