Brighter lights
I have a 1947 Knucklehead Harley-Davidson. The 32E 6 V generator uses a cutout relay rather than a regulator. Having to run the head lamp during the daylight hours causes the battery to run down. I hate waiting for the truck.
Many have changed to 12 V, I would rather use LED lighting.
Many of the Tactical flashlights used by law enforcement and the military. are bright beyond belief and the throw of the beam is greater than many DOT approved headlights. I have a few that are 6VDC.
I have found through web search that there are many 6V DC taillights but I haven't found any dual filament replacement headlights bulbs.
Anyone have any leads?

Re: Brighter lights
I have some old cars with the same set up if you have the original generator you may find , as in my cars, there is a third brush that can be moved to increase the charge rate when useing the lights let me know bobnroman@yahoo.com

Re: Brighter lights
Here is a link to a company that makes solid state voltage regulators to replace the cutout on a Ford generator. They may be able to help you.
