Brake shoes for 248 ci Buick

Last week I bought a set of Bendix remanufactured brake shoes for my 1946 Series 40 Special Buick.
When they arrived looking very nice , I was stunned to see they measured 2 1/4" wide instead of 1 3/4" they were for the Series 70 Roadmaster

I put my concerns to the supplier and they claimed Bendix said they were correct for all 1946 models
I have sent them through the differing part numbers but so far , no luck
Any suggestions anyone

Fred,
Yes I have since checked Bobs, the trouble was I was surfing the net and I came across these Bendix remanufactured shoes at $40 They listed Special, Super and Roadmaster , next you confirmed engine size [248] and clicked the add to cart button

It is a case of buy in haste , repent at leisure
