I am looking for a 1936-1949 Simca 8 body. A Fiat 4dr out of the same years would be acceptable. Would prefer parts cars or rebuildable car but would consider anything.
Can email me at drakecoatings@aol.com or phone 704-289-7200.
Thanks
Tom

Why?
Hello Tom, Welcome to the AACA Forum. Why is it called a Simca 8 if it has a four cylinder flathead for power? A friend has the only 1950 panel delivery in the USA.
That Simca 8 sure look like a little mouse.
Official member of the L.S.S. I know it's misspelled, they only let me use 16 letters
A Simca is basically a Fiat until about 1950. Seems Fiat contracted Simca to build their cars in France and NSU to build them in Germany.(From what I have read)
I have heard that the 8 had something to do with the HP rating but I have never been able to confirm that. If it was a two door(ie topolino) it was called a Simca 5.
As for why....why not??Dare to be different. We have one that we are trying to fix and a good parts car would go a long way to helping. If we find a better body then the current car would be relagated to a parts car.
The Fiat will be much easier to find, since they sold many more of them here in the USA than Simca ever did.
Try posting at www.mirafiori.com, those guys can find anything if given enough time!![]()

Thanks for the link. I will give them a try.
