Here's the list:
Hot Rod Magazine November, 1955. Featured articles include Bonneville 1955, AAA Times, Drag Racing in Massachusetts, Quarter Mile in the Quaker State, North Carolina Know-How in Action, Dragsters Dominate North Florida Event. Very good condition. Has a few light pencil scribbles on the covers.
Hot Rod Magazine September, 1955. Very good condition with a couple of slightly torn pages and a little scribble
January 1956 Hot Rod Magazine. Magazine is in very good condition with a small tear in the upper left corner of the front cover.
January 1956 Motor Trend. It's their annual buyer's guide issue and includes brief reviews of every domestic make for 1956. Also has detailed road tests on the 1956 Rambler and the '56 Ford Fairlane V8 as well as many more features. Even has articles on the Checker Cab and MG-A. Magazine is in very good condition with minor wear and one or two slight tears on the inside.
HOT ROD October, 1956: Includes articles on the Chevy Corvette, '56 Mercury Stock car, lowering your pickup truck, exhaust and ignition systems, and much more. The magazine is complete but there is a razor cut through the first few pages and the top of the front cover is missing above the cut. The rest of the magazine is intact and in good condition.
HOT ROD November, 1953: Has articles covering tune-up tips with Vic Edelbrock, fuel injection, feature cars, and much more. Magazine has taped-on covers with some tearing and is generally worn but complete.
Hot Rod September, 1953: Includes lots of interesting articles and feature cars, including the famous 'Polynesian' show car, an article on installing a Cadillac engine in your Oldsmobile, and how to build a fuel injector. Magazine is complete but somewhat worn, with the covers held on by tape.
HOT ROD Sept. 1956: Includes road test of the '56 Chrysler 300B, tech articles, feature cars, and much more. Magazine is somewhat worn, and has some tearing on the cover. Also, someone tore out the 'Motor Repair Manual' coupon from one of the pages.
January 1959 Hot Rod. Includes coverage of the new Studebaker Lark V8 and many other articles and features. The magazine is in very good condition.
December, 1956 Motor Trend. Includes descriptions of most domestic makes and road tests of the 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk and the 1957 Rambler, as well as an article on the '57 Chevy and Corvette. Magazine is in good condition showing some wear.
January, 1960 Motor Life Magazine. In addition to articles covering the prices and specifications of all 1960 US cars, there are in-depth reports on the then-new Plymouth Valiant, Ford Falcon, Chevrolet Corvair, and a Ford Fairlane with a souped-up 352 V-8 that was available to the public. Other features include an article on the Mercury Comet; Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and GMC pick-up trucks, and much more.
March, 1960 issue of MOTOR LIFE Magazine. Road tests include: Chevy Impala Chrysler New Yorker, Buick Invicta, DeSoto Adventurer, Dodge Matador, Mercury Montclair, Oldsmobile Super 88, Pontiac Bonneville, and the Volkswagen Microbus transporter 6-passenger pickup truck. Also has features on the Mercury Comet, custom cars, and much more. Even the advertisements are entertaining! Shows some wear, covers a little loose.
August, 1967 issue of Car Life Magazine. Includes detailed road tests of the 1967 Plymouth Fury III convertible, Mercury Marquis, and Pontiac Firebird. Has feature articles on the Plymouth Barracuda SX, Holman & Moody, Studebaker Avanti, dune buggies, the Ford Formula I 3-liter V8 engine, and much more. Lots of crisp pictures (especially the road-test cars). |
