| FS 1956 Thunderbird Hi to all- I have a really, really nice 1956 Thunderbird. Restored, off-frame, about 10 years ago, by a previous owner. Was originally an all black car, they decided to go red with red and white interior, not a bad choice for an early bird. Both tops, red hardtop, black softtop. Automatic, power windows, power seat. Has non-power steering, but with everything set up right on the front end, it almost feels like power. Set up to drive, has aftermarket overflow tank, shut off valve for heater water flow (hey, that's why '56 is nice, more ventiltiont)for heater, after market air conditioning (nicely done). I just spent a few thousand dollars with two restoration shops, freshening up the mechanicals. Extremely nice car, needs a few minor cosmetics (wrinkles in dash cover, stainless on front of soft top needs polishing, those kind of things).
I have owned numerous early birds over the years. Nice to have one in the garage. This is a great driving car, just took on a "fun run" with local car club, over 100 miles, easy driving
.
That said, will sell for $32,500, firm. I know market is funny these days, and it sure won't hurt my feelings if this bird stays in the nest. If interested, contact me, thanks and happy motoring!
