This qualifies as a restoration, how? As to the nearly $100,000 value, a reality check is in order. This appears to be a very well done street rod, but 95K???? No way, Jose.

That's a really nicely done truck, sits well, and the fact that it's all Mopar is a plus IMO. It'll get kicked to death here, but may do well on eBay, Barrett-Jackson material for sure. Good luck with the sale.

Re: 1937 PLYMOUTH PT50 CUSTOM STREETROD SHOW TRUCK(VERY RARE)

After doing a frame up restoration on an original '37 PT-50, we did everything ourselves for around $11,000. Now if you hire everything done with a shop rate of $35-$50 an hour and things were done right, and you basically dropped off a truck and had a complete "turn key" restoration, you're looking at an easy $35,500 - $50,000 investment. Because Plymouth pickups are so rare, you're going to pay a premium price in locating parts to get the truck done. I'd have to say that we've got a 1,000 hours of labor invested. Our prices are lower because we didn't have to buy a whole lot of parts to do our truck.

I'm not defending the price of the truck, but in most cases, if you didn't do your own restoration work yourself, most of us couldn't afford to have the cars that we have. To hire someone to do all the work to show quality could easily put prices in that range.

Not to nit-pick, but THis is NOT a restoration! It is a "customization" unless it originally came as it is now from the factory.

I really hate to see so many terms mis-used. You are not the only one. Just some friendly info for you.
