Want To Buy '53-56 Buick 3 speed

Looking for whole or parts for 1953-1955 Buick series 50-60 or '56 series 40 3 speed transmissions. Main need is a u-joint for '53-55.

I should have a u-joint. I have a few but the numbers are gone need maybe a picture or some dimensions would help. these are new GM u-joints

Yikes, I'll have to pull one to take pics and measure but will see what I can do. An Olds tranny is about the same but I am thinking the u joints are different spline so will need to consider that too. Thanks John

1956 is one year only spline between trans and driveshaft(seemed like a good idea at the time?) changed back to coarse spline, as folks were stripping fine splines off as too much torque from nailheads to hold up to repeated quick releases from clutch to tranny.

I have 7 u-joints 1for 1957--1 for 1942-52 # 5661385 ct & DF 1 1956 ct #5670293 The others i do not know

OK so if I have a 56 three 3 speed then I will need a 53-55 universal behind it to mate to a 54 drive shaft?
