I found this site today, thought I would give it a try.. I am moving and have to sell my daddy's car, he passed away 5 yrs ago and he used to restore cars and do shows as his hobby..I have been holding on to it and don't have a clue as to where to start if I were able to restore it.. I will be posting some pics and other info later lemme know if anyone is interested.

    Re: 1965 Chevy Impala

    Hi,
Sorry about that. I meant to put more information but I was in a hurry earlier.

I am located in Portland, TN. I am hoping to get $2000, but will take best offer.

My daddy was restoring the car in his shop he owned before he passed away. The car has now been sitting outside for 5 years. The body looks solid but the car needs a total restoration. The body panels looks good, the floorboards are rusted, and the interior is more or less missing. The engine we have to go with the car is a new GM Performance 350...which was bored .40 over from GM, and is mainly just the block, but it has some other odd and ends parts like heads/some pistons, etc. (My husband typed this part out).

The car started to get light surface rust so my husband sprayed some primer on the car to stop the rust. We are not mechanics and do not know what we're doing and have no where to go with it. I'd like to see it restored but we don't have the money to invest in it. I'd really like to see someone fix it up b/c I hate to see it going to waste in our back yard. It'd be nice to know someone is getting enjoyment out of it like my dad did.

I am interested in your car. I can offer 1,200 for the car because i still have to get it moved to Omaha, Nebraska. If you are interested please call 402-905-6179 and ask for Chilo.
    thanks
