    1937 HORCH

Here is the 1937 Horch that I posted about a year ago. The owner has decided to offer it up for sale. He is taking offers for it. He has owned it since he was 18 years old and is now 85. The body is very solid with no rust and the car runs and drives. The original tail light are missing. You can ask questions and make an offer to my email Around $300,000.00 rrbedard@charter.net Their were a lot of people interested in it before and now is your chance. The car is located in Upton, Ma. Ron.

No offer but the rules of this forum are that you post a price, this is not an auction site. I think the ad should be pulled by the moderator unless you post a price.

+1 - when you consider the price of the 500/540K cars this is really quite fairly priced, IMHO, I too wish I could do more than dream on this one..

    Re: 1937 HORCH

I agree that 300k is right around the correct market for this car. Fully restored they are around 500k plus depending on the year & quality of the restoration. The later cars with the additional 2 speed may bring more money. An older restoration sold a couple of years ago for around 325k. The car at the Steven's estate sale which was very original although a bit worn sold for about the same price. I think that was 2005.

Very cool car indeed. A "special roadster" version of this chassis that came out of eastern europe sold for 1.5 a few years back and was considered a bargain. Also, a Voll & Ruhrbreck body on this chassis won Pebble Beach back in 09

    Re: 1937 HORCH

In addition, in a previous thread on this car, he stated that owner had done $100K in restoration, so am assuming that this car is mechanically excellent..... still would take some bucks to finish, but a great car for sure.

I'm dreaming right there with you guys.....

I am not sure what the other shift handle is for? Might be for two speed? I have not driven this car. Ron.

yes, that extra shifter next to the driver's seat is the 2 speed. This car has that feature which is a plus for sure.

Todays price is less than the $375,000.00. We now have the paper work all set up to sell. Please ask questions. Send your phone number and we will call you. (rrbedard@charter.net)

    Ron,

Do you happen to know how an 18 year old was able to buy such a cool car? At this point I would think it has the longest continual single ownership of any Horch in the world.

Well now that was 66 years ago when he was 18 and I believe that he brought it home from Germany after the war. Ron.
