Hey guys, please don't slam me on this one, I'm mostly an olds guy but do appreciate buicks also. Anyway, I remember years ago,(late 70's),I saw an apollo that was white with what appeared to be factory decal striping that said "apollo gsx" on the trunk deck. Am I correct or was this a made up car? Maybe it was an appearance package. Anyone heard of or seen one?

Yes there was an Apallo GSX, 1974, Only two colors, White with a red stripe and red with a white stripe, down the side. Basically a dressed up apollo, V8 (350) or 6 cyl. Bucket seats, Decals GSX on front header and trunk. Not too many around, nice ones are rare.
I have a nice original flyer on the GSX, but scanner not working.

Thanks Jim, glad to know that I wasn't seeing things, even back then. I told somebody about this car and they said there was no such car. "Never say never."

What Jim said is correct, the GSX Apollo was a one year, '74 only car, was available with the Chevy straight six, Buick V6 and Buick 350 V8, it was an option, which included the GSX stripes and Buick V8 350 engine, only, but there are rumors of 455's being available, check out Here for more info on engine availabilty, R
