    Question 71 Skylark Convertible

Anyone familiar with a Skylark convertible top, I have replaced the top motor the problem must be in the electrical. I ordered a new switch from OPGI but it does not match the original, I also ordered a regulator, but cannot find the location for it. Checked the fuses they seem to be fine. Any suggestions, any help would be appreciated.

    Re: 71 Skylark Convertible

I am more familiar with the full sized Buicks, but seems to me you will need to trouble shoot some before ya replace a bunch of stuff. Are you getting power to the motor?? If yes, its the motor, if the motor is working then its the drive system for the top cables. If no then are you getting power to the switch? If yes, replace the switch, if no walk it back to the fuse box. Keep in mind a bad ground can cause major grief too. Hope this helps, if ya can give us more details I am sure we can help further.
