442's 307 faster than mine

What makes the 307 in my friend's '87 Cutlass 4-4-2 alot faster than the one I have in my '87 Regal Limited. What do I have to change around to make my car as fast as his?<BR>(0-60 in ? 8 seconds) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like there was a 180 hp version available in the 442, compared to your 140 hp. I'll have to do a little scrounging to find the differences...

The 442 have a 307 H.O. It has a hi-performance camshaft and carburetor, and also a 3.73 rear end. [img]images/icons/wink.gif" border="0[/img]
