I am familiar with this company. It is now known as the Mitchell Corporation of Owosso Michigan (Lansing area). Unfortunately, the company has recently been sold--so I've heard--and I don't know what will come of it.
They have a long history of making station wagon bodies and other low production bodies for many automakers. For instance, they made all of the 56-7 Lincoln Continental MkII bodies. They also modified the bodies used for Packard Carribeans. They made wood bodied wagons for many years.
The company has an incredible private museum, but I heard recently that the cars will soon be auctioned off. It's full of a variety of cars--mostly station wagons.
If you wish to try contacting them, the address and phone number I have from a couple of years ago is: 108 North Chipman St., Owosso Michigan 48867, (517) 725-2171
Hope that helps. Email me directly at glcmi@aol.com if you want to discuss this more.

------------------
Greg Cockerill
BCA #36864
1970 Electra convertible
