Smile 4.10 or higher rear end (40-55)

Hello, I'm looking to buy a complete center section or entire rear to fit in my '49 Roadmaster. I'd like gears in the 3-series, but would consider my stock ratio (4.10). I need a realiable and QUIET rear; I have a "howler" now and that's the reason I'm looking for a new one.

Please try and send an e-mail to:
richard.small.jr@sbcglobal.net if you have something and provide your location and price. I live in Connecticut and shipping might be a big determining factor.

    Thanks in advance, Rick

Re: 4.10 or higher rear end (40-55)

    Rick,

I sent a 46 Super over to Doug Seybolds in Ohio for restoration , part of that included changing the rear gears. Mine was the standard gearing for the Super, you are welcome to it for the cost of shipping. It was quiet, and from a low milage car. If you want to contact Doug and let him know your address, I am sure he can box it up for you .

I had planned to contact him this week for an update report, and if this is something you can use, I will advise him of it
