    1968 Wildcat 2dr. ht. $550 in Neb.

Got a call today from a guy in Nebraska who saved this '68 Wildcat 2-door hardtop from the crusher, but he needs it sold and moved quickly due to lack of room, etc. Not running, appears to be complete except for rear bumper, body is quite solid, all glass is good, has a 430 V8. $550 is the very reasonable price but you have to move it by end of next week, in other words in about 10-11 days. There is a fork lift to help load it or air up the tires and it should roll onto a trailer. Car is adjacent to Interstate 80 in North Platte, Nebraska. Call Doug (402) 474-2344 or (402) 475-9968.
Not my car, and I have no stake in this, just trying to save another one from the crusher. Let's get serious about this. You don't find cars like this at this price very often. Yes, it needs work, but...!

Same guy also has a 1962 Special coupe (2-door sedan), red, V-6, very straight body, red paint is faded, appears to have no missing parts, for $600. Same situation, not running, needs work, must be moved soon. He sent me photos of it but they are too large to up-load here, so if anyone is interested, contact me for photos.

Here's a couple photos from Pete, one showing the '62 Special quite well beside a '63 Special (I don't think it is a '62 full size).

Sigh...it would look too good beside the convertible....

Looks like a yard getting ready for an auction. I posted awhile back about a mid-Nebraska auction happening about now, but thought it was further west. Had a 55 Roadmaster 2 door hardtop...

Let me check. Here is the auction, note: 11 miles from North Platte. I bet this is the same yard as has the cars noted above

    http://www.fowlkesrealtyandauction.com/auctions204.htm

YES! That's the same yard. Open up my link and go down to the photo of the 69 Electra convertible and you will see a RUST stain running down a rear quarter then look at Pete's photo and you see the same car. Right next to the Electra with the stain is a brown car which is the Wildcat.

Auction was last Sunday SO these cars did not get a bid IMO and the owner is wanting basicall crusher price or $50 more. I applaud him for making a last ditch effort to find them homes, otherwise, they will be crushed, just as we saw in that Minnesota auction Pete brought to our attention about 2 months ago.

Mid Nebraska is dry, so these are restorable cars.

Derek, that is a 63 Special/Skylark 2 door hardtop. A car with a small following but extremely clean and pleasant lines. I always liked them-underrated. Because the owner is not trying to sell it, it must have gotten a winning bid and somebody else owns it now.
