Travel Update to Flint in July

Here's a heads up for you traveling to Flint. I-75 through Detroit is under construction and delays just south of downtown could be very long in both directions.

Additionally, US 23 north has construction barrels out all around Ann Arbor area. You might want to consider timing your trip to miss the rush hour. Which is probably 7:00-9:00am and 3:00-6:00pm. Hopefully, someone from the Flint area can update us.

Re: Travel Update to Flint in July

There are several areas in and around Flint under construction. Holly Road East of I-75 is a mess. This is one of the main routes for the Buick Open and is being pressed for completion before then. I-475 North of the Hill Road/Wingate area is being worked on and is down to 45mph construction zones both N and S. I-69 at Dort Hwy is still recovering from construction rebuild due to a fuel tanker accident that went off an overpass. Just west of this restriction at I-475 and I-69, transitions from 475 to 69 can be lengthy. Worst times on these roadways are typical factory start and quit times. 0530 to 0700 are not too bad north bound. South bound I75 and US 23 are packed with daily commuters going towards Pontiac/Detroit. All roads (expressways and 4 lane area roads) are jammed between 1430 and 1730. Also remember that this is the same weekend as the Buick Open Golf Tournament in Grand Blanc.
