i have a 89 reatta and
when under load,engine died and did not want to restart,but did,have just put new wires ,plugs and After this happened i replaced the coil and coil pack ,thougt i had fixed it but still died again,what in your opinion could cause this,am not receiving any codes,and after it restarts,it runs smooth,i am not sure what is the problem,david mullins

First thing I would do is change the fuel filter if you haven't lately. If you have, I would put a fuel pressure gage on it and see what kind of fuel pressure you have. I don't have the specs in front of me that it should be around 38 PSI and increase slightly when you goose it a little. If fuel filter is good and you have low fuel pressure, most likely the fuel pump needs replaced which is in the fuel tank.

IndyReatta is right on. With the vacuum hose disconnected from the pressure regulator fuel pressure should be about 42-44 psi and drop about one psi for every two inches of engine vacuum when the vacuum is reconnected, or about 8-9 psi with the engine idling.
