    Spark Advance

In my effort to learn more about cars, and my Reatta in particular, I was curious what the optimum spark advance might be at say idle, 35mph and 70mph? Any one care to elaborate?

    Re: Spark Advance

Spark advance is not adjustable (except by reprogramming). Is a map based on a number of varibles combined called LV8 vs RPM with a base offset and another for coolant temperature. The reference is to the crank sensor which has a fixed position.

It is called a DIS or Distributerless Ignition Systen and is completely under computer control.

Would it change based on other variables? Possibly the spark plug gap?

If it did, it would be too little to notice.
