    Re: Seat Belt Question .

coupe and convertible seat belts are different. the coupe has an upper metal support attached to the C-pillar, and the coupe also has a cable that runs into the door jamb to a switch. the switch senses when the door is open, and automatcially retracts the belt. the convertible does not have this switch in the door jamb.

I believe it would be possible to use the coupe belt on the convertible. it would require removing the cable that runs from the retractor to the door jamb (1 screw), and somehow securing the upper support to the retractor assembly, out of sight behind the trim panel.
