Should the backs of the seats lock in place? Mine never have but it is very disconcerting when the passanger seat back folds forward on hard stops. I don't see any obvious mechanism that would appear to lock them.

From my experience, they don't lock in place or anything.

The "GS" will rise again.
Have not researched, but sometimes I have to push mine forward & back a couple times to release. Other times not. Bottom line: There must be a lock, but it is erratic.

The seatbacks have inertia locks. Should NOT fold forward when stopping.
The factory service manual has info on troubleshooting.
