hi there
i have a 1988 reatta, with a weird problem, when i put the car in gear and start driving, the dash lites go on and off with the audible chimes going on and off in conjunction, along with the heating-a/c blower. i pull e026 history, e039 history, and e047 history...is it my bcm or something grounding out. i hope someone can give me a hand i can't drive the with speedo going on and off...thanking you in advance ron

Re: resetting problem?
Hey Ron,
It does sound like there is something wrong with either your ECM or the harness. All of the codes you mentioned were ECM codes rather than BCM codes:
EO26-QDM Circuit problem
EO39-TCC Circuit
EO39-BCM-ECM Communication Problem
You can check the codes against the Diagnostic Mode manual here:
http://www.geocities.com/captaincelt...page04.jpg
While I don't have a pat solution, my reccomendation is to start by checking out both the ECM and the BCM visually. Check the connections to each unit, as well as the grounding points under the hood at the front right side of the car.
Good luck!
------------------
Jim Gough
www.esprinkles.com
www.reatta.org
