    Prototype Reatta on Ebay?

Ebay has a Reatta that looks like a LeBaron nose was
graffed on it. I would say that was the case but if
you look at the bumper, it looks factory.
There are no seams in the urethane.

I am pretty sure that with a serial number of 4152 it is not a prototype and the museum got rid of it because it was simply someones customized car.
If you want to see another prototype check out Ebay number 4527412360.
I think when my wife isn't looking I will put some flames on her convertible like those.

FWIW, any serial number could be a prototype but that late I would expect to see 1989 model bits and not an '88 engine. More likely it was involved in a serious front end collision and repaired with parts on hand. Anything in a CarFax ?

    Museums have company cars also.

You know the more I look at it the more I think the entire front end has been replaced: the lower grille is not correct and the fog lights should not stick out like that. Further I cannot say that the hood badge is a Reatta emblem and not a latch for the grille.

I suspect it started out without the grille and instead had a squared off hole like an older mustang, it looks like an afterthought.
