    A new problem

Ok, so after replacing the crank position sensor, it now doesn't have any issues starting when warm. I also just replaced the compressor, plugs, plug wires, and gas filter, and now a new problem has just cropped up. Every once in a while it will stutter and die when I am driving, but as soon as I pool over, or even put in neutral while I am coasting, it will start right back up and run fine. Any thoughts?

    Any stored computer codes?

ICM or crank sensor can cause that symptom among other things, but most others will set a code.

I agree with McReatta that it may be the ICM [Ignition Control Module]. It is located under the coil pack. If you have the original Magnavox [square coils] you might be getting a warning of failure. Also look for goo on the rdiator hose directly below the coil pack. Typically though the car will stall out and not restart until it has cooled off some.
Another thing I would check would be the Mass Air Flow sensor. Your car dying and then restarting while coasting would lean me to consider this. I would think that if the computer was recieving flawed info about the air/fuel mix it could cause the car to stall out.
I recently replaced mine as it was hesitating when I would want to hard accelerate while driving. The "new" one [used from a u pick] works great.

I replaced the coil pack and ICM before replacing the CPS. This problem started weeks after replacing all of those and just after replacing the plugs and wires.

    Re: A new problem

i occasionally have this problem as well. Does it mostly happen when decelerating? I have assumed for a while that mine is most likely attributed to the camshaft position sensor. there is a magnetic button that wears off over the years. I have not tried to fix it yet as it hasnt been that much of a nussiance. Im only suggesting that this might fix your issue.
