| Re: This is my reason for my absence... Looky what I got Interesting choice Brian, I am also picking up a new toy this coming weekend, a 72 MGB. Love those British sports cars. I once owned a 60 Bugeye Sprite and currently own a 67 Sunbeam Tiger.

| Re: This is my reason for my absence... Looky what I got According to my Dr back in 1967, one of those put me in the hospital.
I had a 1962 AH Sprite, pinched a nerve in my back and the Dr said, the human body was not designed to sit like that for extended periods.

| Re: This is my reason for my absence... Looky what I got I had a 1972 MGB with factory air. But they labeled the switch wrong. Instead of cooling the inside of the car it made the engine overheat. I guess it would be harder to sell with an engine overheat switch. To be fair if not in stop and go traffic it would work. The condensor fit between the oil cooler and engine radiator.

| Re: This is my reason for my absence... Looky what I got Barney, your right those little sports cars weren't designed for us in the senior years of our lives, come to think of it they werent really designed for comfort when we were young either. Face it they were meant for short fun jaunts in the country side or like the short drives in the U.K..
Richard, my does not have A/C but everything else is in perfect working order. It does have the electric overdrive though and that comes in handy, and as you can see it has the hardtop along with a soft-top, a removable rollbar, a spare engine, and not a speck of rust. Also the Lucas electrics have been mostly replaced with better wiring and some U.S. components. Pretty decent by for $1800.00. The owner was retiring and had just too many cars in his collection and needed to thin things out a bit. I happened to be at the right place at the right time, again. Too bad because I wish I was still living back in New England or up in Washington state where I would have some nice country winding/hilly roads to play on.

| Re: This is my reason for my absence... Looky what I got This 69 is a major rust bucket... all 4 floor pans are (were) ready to fall in... front frame has major rust which will get fixed soon and it just goes on and on...but I got it for a decent enough price so I am not complaining... I liked the MGB's... BUT I have a miata which is the modern and more reliable version... so getting a MGB would seem kinda silly.... essentially, my miata became my pickup now

| Re: This is my reason for my absence... Looky what I got My favorite of that series of cars has always been the FIAT 124 Spyder. Roll up windows, top you can raise with one hand, considerable storage space, and lotsa vents. Just need to periodically clean the oil strainer.
Was finally cured of Jaguars.
