    I changed out my thermostat however the "O" ring on the water elbow is shot. Is the elbow "O" ring available from GM or must I purchase a new elbow?

    you should beable to get it at the same place you bought the t-stat..ive seen them hanging with the t-stats at car part stores...also note the housing will not want to go back in straight...do a search here..

    Peb Boyz has them. *Think* the p/n was either 421 or 427 (something rememberable). Crud on the manifold where the O'ring slides is what usually tears them up, make certain the surfaces and the O'ring groove are very clean. I usually coat O-ring with antiseize because tube is handy but vasoline or axle grease will do as well.
