    Door Trip Panel Removal

Hokay so I need to replace the window lift motor and remove the driver's side door glass to fix the guide.

One of the first things is to remove the two screws under the doorstrap. However, on this car, there does not seem to be a way. Straps are very strongly attached and do not seem to be glued but there is no screw visible.

Any ideas ? Strap is well attached & this does not seem like a jury rig. Blue is a good match to interior. Both sides (four ends) are identical.

I belive the screws under the strap DO NOT have to come out,I think they just screw into the door panel. The screws are bolts I think 10 mm. The door panel I think will come off with these still attached, they only screw into the plastic of the panel.I could be wrong but try leaving them in,the panel should lift away from the door with all the other attachments off.

Hey Padgett...IMPORTANT I THINK....Try to find information on the R & I of the door glass regulator, motor, or any repairs to be safe .... in the forums Search Function (or hopefully someone will advise here)....there is some sort or spring thingie that can be ultra dangerous that is lurking in the door panel from what I understand....

    Re: Door Trip Panel Removal

It is the up spring on the regulator. Need to drill hole and put bolt in before removing motor from regulator (and I always drill out the new motor a bit and use 1/4-20 bolts- there are only three and have seen the #8 that come with the new motor loosen.

BTW mine has been running for about five years without the spring. Is a little slower going up.
