The door handles don't come apart to replace the parts individually, unless you have a means of re-riviting the assembly together. If you're going to replace it, you could use the plastic recess from most any GM doorhandle of that design, it won't be hard to find, but beware of taking things apart only to find that they won't reassemble.
I recently bought the last Drivers doorhandle available on the Dealer network, so I'm guessing you'll have to find a set of used Reatta handles if you want to fix it without dissassembling anything.
Good luck
Understood. Thanks!

Got to work today, and it clicked upon me that when I looked at the handle.... I wondered if you were refering to the interior, or exterior door handle receptacle? The information I wrote about is for the EXTERIOR door handle receptacle. Sorry for any confusion

EXTERIOR-Yes.

Hi Robert,
I have 14 Reatta parts cars and have the outside door handles. I will send you an email or I can be reached at jfinn@computerpro.com
I have several Reatta parts cars with very reasonable prices.
Direct email works best for me as opposed to PMs and phone calls.
I had thought exterior Door handle assemblies were discontinued some time ago and went another way.
Ordered from NAPA their replacement sets. My intent was to just exchange the Chrome Pull and the Black bead gasket. My chrome had started to fail, a small blister/ break in the chrome on both sides. The car was painted last September and the Door handles were to have been R & R'ed like all the rest of the exterior trim. I found out why the Body Shop may not have pulled them, a very difficult task. Hence the black bead got painted!
Turned into a pretty nasty chore, did manage to complete the Drivers' side and since my hands have now healed I'll tackle the Passenger Side one of these days.
The NAPA aftermarket Sets look identical except for lack of the electrical switch that kicks on the BCM for entry features-interior lights, etc.
And no, they were not intended to be disassembled!

GM Ross is quite right on them being a pain to remove, in order to most easily remove the Handle from the door, you'll need to remove the rear window track (vertical), and the latch mechanism. I managed to do one without removing the latch mechanism, but it was far easier with the extra room.
My advice if you do remove the window track, is to make SURE you fasten it exactly in the original position, or just be sure to double check the window position when fully up, before you put the door panel back on
