Don't mean to sound like a cheerleader, but....
Just had a delightful lunch with Mike of Reattadudes; he was here in Southern California to pick up a convertible for a client. Neat, neat guy -- with a true Reatta spirit. While it's his business, it's obvious he has a love for the car and is a real giver when it comes to helping out other Reatta owners.
For Mike and Reattadudes, a rousing AAAA+ thumbs-up!

Re: Don't mean to sound like a cheerleader, but....
There are lots of great Reatta owners out there. I have had lunch/dinner with both Mike and "Alf", and am proud to be in the same group with them.
I don't want to spoil the story but there is one in this message of Mike picking up the car from Alf, I will let Mike or the new owner of Alf's blue convertible tell the whole story.

Ditto, met Mike while I was doing my time down South over the past couple of years. He made the effort to time a northern trip last July to make it to Flint and deliver (and help install) BBs' new Door Panels.

Re: Don't mean to sound like a cheerleader, but....
Ok, I'll tell the story and I hope it is alright with Jerry and Mike. I have never met either Jerry or Mike other than through the discussion group. I did purchase Jerry's Maui blue convertible sight unseen and Jerry arranged storage for me until I could get to the west coast to pick it up.
Meanwhile I spoke with Mike about the possibility of my purchasing a new top from him and swinging through Phoenix to have the top installed by the shop that he uses. His shop apparently has done a number of Reattas and does not insist on supplying the top as many shops do. The installation price was also much better than my shop here in Columbia, SC. Anyway Mike offered to pick up the car in LA, take it to Phoenix and have the top installed and have it ready for me to pick up in early July.
I cannot wait to meet both Mike and Jerry and the new Reatta that I bought for my wife. I understand the car is really nice and it has been in good hands throughout. As Barney said, I am proud to be involved with people that you can trust and who share the same affinity for Reattas. That's why I am offering as secretary/treasurer of the Reatta Division. Not only do I hope to meet some of you good people, but I can also give something back as well.
In addition to telling the story about a couple of great guys, can I take the opportunity to remind everyone that the BCA has a Reatta Division and the membership is certainly not closed. You do not even have to own a Reatta to join and have yet another forum to get to meet some super good folks.
