| Re: Difference In CRT Since my crt started freezing up - when the air temp is below about 20 - I changed it out today with one from an 86 Riviera. Works perfectly, but the buttons are a little different. The hard keys on the Reatta (climate, summary, radio, gages, options, status) are soft keys on the 86 Riviera. The two on the bottom right are different. Bottom center reads diagnostic instead of options; bottom right reads trip monitor instead of status. The buttons work the same as the ones in the same location on the Reatta crt; the touch screen is an overlay that's independent of the crt. Masking tape and a magic marker? Actually, it's not a problem at all unless you're a purist.
