Cleaning suede seats?

Just got the 16 way seats from Jim Finn today, they are nice seats but they are dirty, Does anyone have any knowledge as to cleaning the suede bolsters without damaging them? I want to clean them before installing them. Any help will be appreciated.
I am putting these seats in my 90 "Vert" will this hurt the value?

Re: Cleaning suede seats?

There are specific suede cleaners, brushes and erasers available at shoe stores and leather stores and cleaners.

Try 303 Fabric Guard & Cleaner Kit
Contains the same 303 Convertible Top Cleaner AND the 303 High Tech Fabric Guard - Kit will keep your canvas convertible top, boat cover, and awnings in perfect condition.
303 Top Cleaner utilizes a unique "colloidal" action to lift and suspend oil, grease and dirt. It does not contain soap, detergents, toxic organics, phosphates, nitrates or caustics. 303 Top Cleaner is extremely effective and extremely safe and leaves no residue like most cleaners.
303 High Tech Fabric Guard is powerful enough to protect fabrics in the harshest environment ...outdoors. safe for the finest fabrics, wool, silk, and fine leathers - including suede.
or
try this
[ 07-01-2002: Message edited by: Easily Distracted ]

Re: Cleaning suede seats?

these seats are actually not suede, but (artificial) "ultrasuede". you might want to go to a shoe repair store, and ask them what they would recommend. my thoughts would run to some type of solvent, but the shoe guy would know best.
