89 Power Window Switches

Alrighty,

The next thing up for business is the power window switches. Do I have to take apart the whole console assembly just to take that part out?

Re: 89 Power Window Switches

You do have to take the top off to get at the 5 screws that hold the two switches in place.
On the front of the shift knob is a small clip, pull it forward and the shift knob will lift up and off. The shift plate just snaps into the console top. Remove it and you will see two screws holding the front of the console top. There are also two Phillips screws near the cigar lighter.
