    3M vinyl /rubbe/plastic Conditioner

The 3M Marine Grade plastic/rubber conditioner is wonderful stuff. Dump the ArmorAll. This stuff is fantastic. It will recondition old rubber/plastic/vinyl and make it look like new. It puts a very durable barrier on the material that prevents UV damage.

It is expensive at about 13 dollars for a small plastic bottle but you use very little. I mean very little. What you can pour into the palm of your hand will more than do everything on your Reatta.

It does not attract dust which most other such conditioners seem to do. Being Marine grade it is suited for harsh conditions. I really like this stuff.
Okay, you bought it, now love it.

Would a boat store like West Marine have it? It does sound good.

We've been using Meguiar's spray leather stuff but it doesn't seem to last that long. Good thing is that Reatta interiors are actually pretty resistant to sun damage. Like the tops of the door panels fade (and carpet) but at least we don't have bad crackling like many cars of this vintage already suffer from.

F14, they should have it. I buy the stuff from a plastics store here (Tap). If you simply have no luck, let me know and I'll fill a small squeeze bottle full and send it your way (PM if you want). This stuff goes very far on a small amount.

If you need a pure restorer then starbrite usually works a little better, it can also restore old hard leather and vinyl soft again usually. But also, West Marine/Boat U.S. (same company now) does carry it.

Tammy, go with Raggatop it will last a lot longer than the 303. My customers report back to me that there tops keep beading a lot longer since I started using Raggatop cleaner and then the protectorant on their cars and boat covers.

Tammy, it should work just fine. Here is the part #:051131 09023. About $10 for an 8 oz bottle.

Being Marine grade it is designed for rubber/plastics and vinyls used harsh weather conditions. You need only use it once a year.

What I really like about it is that it leaves no residue, no slickness or stickiness. Many protectants/conditioners seem to leave the materials feeling slippery or worse, attract dust which is counter productive.

The advantage of using only a "very small amount" makes up for the higher cost.

I've always found 3M products to be high quality.
