    1/24 scale model Reatta

I was at a swap-meet earlier today and saw a vendor selling a Buick Reatta
1/24 scale assembled model. I do not know who makes these, as it was not
identified on the box. The box is white and has a red coupe on it. Does
    anyone know anything about these?

I bought a 1/24 model on ebay. It is a neat little model.
The seller claims these were promos given to the employees at the Lansing Plant. Not sure if this is a true story.

    Re: 1/24 scale model Reatta

The red plastic model was apparently made by the car load. I talked to a sales rep in Troy MI that said he had a warehouse full of them up to about two years ago and GM pulled them. I think they sold them very cheap to someone in bulk.

The other rare Reatta is a 5 inch long pewter model with high detail. I have attempted to trace the manufacturer and continually run into dead ends. All of the companies that make pewter models deny making that one.

Then there was a Kenny Bernstein Reatta "funny car" model that barely looks like a Reatta.

And I too wondered what happened to the radio controlled Reatta that was hyped by the guy in California. Did he ever make one?
