Vintage photographs of cars

Not sure if we had this topic before, but on the Pontiac forums, someone started a "vintage photos" topic and it has been a success. A lot of neat old photos of cars, taken many years ago.

Does anyone here have any old, vintage photos of cars- lets say taken from the 1980s on back?

I have a few, mostly from the 1980s. We have some taken back in the 40s, 50s and 60s that are my grandparents old photos. I will have to search for them, scan them and get them posted someday. I will try to get what few photos I have a little later.

Sounds like a fun idea to me. Here is one that I had saved from an ebay auction that I've been meaning to post. I like the sign "Quick Delivery". Sorta like the modern day Pizza Delivery I suspect. And I bet the kid driving took advantage of the fact that he had to be "quick" too!

Here is one of my great uncle's 66 LeSabre in the early seventies. He was a catholic priest but was known for driving very fast and did scare people when driving!

Excellent, excellent photos!!!

The first one is very interesting and neat.

Phil- your photos are super. I really like the 70 Kingswood Estate wagon in that one photo- a lot of great cars in that photo. I have a photo of my mom as well just a month before I was born, but I do not have it saved on my computer- no cars in that one anyway.

I do not have any photos older than 1979 scanned yet, but I hope too soon. Most of my "car" photos are from the 1980s.

First one attached is me standing beside of my dads early 60s Chevrolet Nova. This photo was taken around the summer of 1979. I was 3 years old here.

This one is not that old- it was taken in 1986. Well, that was 19 years ago- so maybe... This is me again- standing beside of my uncles old 1977 Pontiac Trans AM. This is the car I was complaining about being the car that "robbed" the engine from a 1971 Pontiac Grand Ville 4dr. In 1985, my uncle bought a 1-owner, 50K actual mile, 71' Grand Ville for $300! Took the engine and installed in this T/A.

Back then however, the early 70s big cars were not desirable- they were everywhere in fact.
