Paint color for '69 grille?

Hello,<BR>Is there an "over the counter" spray can color that comes close to the original '69 Buick Skylark / SportWagon Silver Argent grille color? Any prefered manufacturers that are recommended would be helpful,too.<P>Thanks in advance to all who reply!<P>Best Regards, SportWagon69

Hi,<BR>I went through the same thing. If memory serves me correctly, you can get a very close match using one of The Eastwood Companys's silver wheel paints. I did it on a GS 400 Grille and used the darker gray, but I think the Skylark Grille uses the silver. <BR>Dupli-color at one time made the GM argent silver. I located a good color paint for my grille a 1966 buick at a local hobby shop. small spray cans of a German silver color a very good match.<BR>Try a local hobby shop , they have a larger range of colors than most parts stores.<P>Jim Schilf / palbuick [img]images/icons/tongue.gif" border="0[/img]

Stephen,<P>Is that you? Hey, I went to a body/paint supply store and they gave me something that is perfect, at least as far as I can tell! Try one of those places. My '69 is painted. I do need to reshoot a couple of panels, had some trouble, but the rest of the car looks very good. I'll post some pics when I find some time!
