New Paint on the Woodie (Finally)

After way too long and many months of body work and years of wood work, the car finally has paint on it.

I was hoping to have it for Rochester but I am going to miss that deadline. 200 + hours of bodywork will do that.

Anyway here a couple of pictures I got this weekend...

And some wood work....

Woohoo! Glad to see it coming together, Bill! I can't wait to see it in the flesh after all these months. Maybe you and I will both reach the finish line about the same time...

Let's hear it for progress!

Re: New Paint on the Woodie (Finally)

Thanks guys....

I resized the pictures also so you can see the whole car without scrolling. I work on a large screen at home and I didn't realize till I got to work today that they were huge.

We are going to Alabama this weekend to check the car out in person.

Bill, the car's looking great. I think that green is perfect for a Buick woody. Looks like there's a '49 Buick woody parked in front of your car.

Great to see your progress and the color reminds me of my '50 Super I had while in high school many years ago... Great color for the car.

Re: New Paint on the Woodie (Finally)

Good eye Brian.. It is a 49 super that he is working on. Just a wood refinish and an engine rebuild. It runs real niice now.

If you look closely through the upper tailgate you can see one of the other woodies he is working on. Not sure what it is but I think its a Ford from the 30's.

I like the green too, it looks real nice with the yellowish ash tint that the wood turns after a while.

Its been a while but I am starting to get excited about my car again.

Looking good Bill...maybe if my wife sees the car (green is pretty much her favourite colour), she will get interested in the wagons It is a good feeling to be getting more excited about the cars, isn't it.
