NEEDED: BCA Driven Class Judges at Concord
Hello BCAers,
I and my Asst Chairman, Bill McLaughlin, will be needing some people to help us "judge" the cars in the driven class for their certification awards. This class is about fun and low stress for the car owners and so the volunteer role is a very easy and fun too. The role only requires a small amount of time from the volunteer, plus you get to look at all the Driven Class cars while you do it.
For those members attending Concord, who are not serving as BCA Judges and are interested in helping the morning on show day, Saturday we could really use your help. We will meet at the media center entrance on the showfield at 9:30AM for a brief 15 minute orientation, than we will begin certifying the cars hopefully depending on number of cars in the class and "judges" we should be done before lunch maybe even much quicker. So plenty of time to prep your own cars that morning or get to see the rest of the cars on the showfield.
If you are attending Concord and are interested in helping, either post a note here or PM me with your contact info (email, cell phone).
Also for those interested in participating in the Driven Class with their vehicles and have questions please feel free to ask them.
Thanks and Go Buick!!

Brian, my grandfather may be interested in helping you out. I'll contact him tomorrow and see if he's interested.
Also, am I allowed to bring a guest to the judge's breakfast? I'm sure he'll probably make friends he could probably eat with that morning, but I was just curious.

OK Marck, let me know.
As for the guest at the judges breakfast, if the guest is not going to judge, then the answer would be no, unfortunately. The reasoning is as follows. First I am going to give the hotel for meals and seats will be based on the number of judges so how would I even know about the guest (in theory if you hadn't just mentioned it). Second the breakfast is served at no expense to the judges as a thank you for their volunteering their time and effort in judging, so if the guest was not judging they'd just be getting a free meal for nothing. (and yes despite the free buffet in the atrium for hotel guests, the club has to pay for the breakfast served at the judges breakfast).

I might add to Brian's comments - the judging breakfast is where you get your assignment, meet your judging team and discuss the the actual day's schedule.
I would also expect that a number of judges may not be at the host hotel anyway, so not be necessarily getting the 'included breakfast".
