Is it just my computer or is everyones PC starting all the threads at their first posting each time you go in?

you mean thats what is views? as opposed to jumping to the latest post? if so my pc has always done that since i joined this forum. i guess id rather it go to the newest one but its done that always so im used to it i guess....

This appears to have been a change made during last week's site upgrade. But, at the top left of each thread, you'll now see an icon to click if you wish to skip to the first unread post.

Thanks, Brian, I hadn't seen that icon either.
The other thing I noticed is that the number of replies that might have been posted since you were last in the forum is no longer there. The shading of unread/new threads is still there, though. I guess the "unread posts icon" is supposed to replace the former number in parenthesis on the front page?

Mr Earl, my understanding was that the site was changed for security reasons. All of the new, diferent features came along for the ride, whether good or bad.

Wayne, After my "Crash" I can certainly appreciate that. I have often wondered how secure this and other similar sites are. There is so much valuable info and data in the archives of this site it would be terrible to loose it. Thanks for the explanation. | |
