FLINT DRIVERS...AAA Has 'Road Construction' Reports...L@@K...
RE: 'Very Accurate & Detailed Road Construction Reports'
for the trip to Flint, MI
I just went to our AAA office in Kansas City to get my MO, IL, IN, MI road maps for the trip to Flint. While they were getting my maps I asked, 'Do you get the reports on where the road construction snags are?' The young man opened up this big book binder with ALL the states in it and we went from state to state on the route I want to take and he pointed out EVERY 'stop-n-go'(symbol) construction zone on the map. Lucky the 'scenic' route the KC gang is taking is NOT effected by the 'stop-n-go' road construction zones. The young man asked what I was driving and I told him and he replied, 'Oh my God, you couldn't afford the gas to be stuck at the I-70 (Columbia-St. Louis) construction zone in that car!' I just laughed and thanked him for showing me the reports.
If you're an AAA member, go to your local office to see this same report (they all have them) and it changes daily he said.
If you are NOT an AAA member I bet if you took a photo of your car with you and plopped it down on the counter and said you are driving it to the 'Buick 100th Celebration' in Flint, MI they would show you the report and not bother with seeing any membership card. Now asking for 'free' maps is a different story <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/image...ins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
Wanted to share this GREAT service with you.

Check this out, and you don't have to be AAA member. AAA Travel East MI Also includes gas prices, etc. There is alot of construction around the I-475 and I-69 area where you will exit to get the Cultural Center, most of this will probably not be completed when you get here, be patient, or do a thorough review of the maps. Maybe if one of us, "Flintoids" gets some time we can post some alternative routes!
