Factory Photos

Does anyone out there have any factory photos of 55 buicks? I found one on the internet. They are very helpfull when restoring a car. Thanks, Mudbone

It seems strange the hub caps would be on the car at this time.... in fact I seem to recall around this time the wheel covers were either in the trunk or on the seat.

Maybe a staged photo so people would know it is a Buick.

I agree Barney. That woul dimply this was a set up staged photo. Hubcaps or even center caps are always shipped in the trunk or interior for new vehicles

Of course I can't tell what is cropped off of the photo, but one person does look to be wearing a suit.

Of course it could be a Product Service vehicle from GMI. They had cars like this back then. That would account for the discrepancies.

Good Morning All: I am not surprised that the hub caps are on the car. The number of cars made in 1955 was not exceeded until some time in the early 1970's. So many 1955's were made that they were being assembled from work benches and not on the usual assembly line. This would mean they had to be on their wheels probably earlier than they would have been on the assembly line. Thanks, Patrick W. Brooks
