Exclamation Buick 1937 - Difference between serie 80 and 90 ????

Hello, can anyone confirm that most body parts (fenders, hood, trunk lid, ...) from a 1937 Buick serie 81 will fit a 1937 serie 90L....? I couldn't find any dimension of these body parts anywhere. Thank you!

From a quick check of the 1928-41 parts books
- Rear fender
- Hood
- Trunk
are the same 1937 80 & 90 series

These seem to be unique for 1937 80 & 90 series: not used on other years or series

Thanks for your reply. Should I conclude that the front fenders are not the same??? Are the parts books available on line?

Please do not conclude that. Front fenders are the same. The parts book has a picture of the rear so easy to find the part number. A little more hunting for the front.

99% sure series 80 and 90 are the same apart from the wheel base and the body that fits on it. Others will know no a lot more.

Not aware of parts books available to view on line. You can buy from ebay vendors or the likes of Bob's Automobilia

Jaques.I have a 1936 Shop manual.I will check it tomorrow to see if I can help you. I would do it tonight, but the old guys Ambien is kicking in, and I wouldn't trust anything from me at this time of night

Great, I will wait for your reply. That being said, I have the shop manual for the 37 buick but I could not find that kind of information. Jack

Jaques...I looked last night, and the only difference that I could find (on a 36) is that there is a spare tire well on the 90 front fenders

Re: Buick 1937 - Difference between serie 80 and 90 ????

Dear Jacques:
The difference between the 80 and 90 series is the wheelbase, with the 90 being about 7 inches longer, 138 to 131. The difference in wheelbase is taken up in the body by the difference in the construction of only the rear doors and the rear passenger compartment, so everything else is interchangeable.
Regards, Dave Corbin
