Hi -
Can anyone please tell me what the host hotel is for the BCA National in 2013 in South Bend for the folks that did not attend NC. And will the show field be close to the hotel and car trailer parking info?
Thanks

Hi Al, yes, and yes, and yes. You can't make reservations til July 23, 2012, when the hotel calendars roll over. The show and trailer parking will be right next to the hotels.
All information, including show registration form, online hotel reservations will be available on July 23rd at 2013 BCA National Meet

When that leg heals up good, you should kick your mailman that is probably reading it before you get it!
BTW, did you ever get anything out of that slot machine near the bar?

I would think South Bend being a Mid West location will produce a good crowd. Getting there from the south/Indy isn't the most fun, R-31 is not driver friendly, although they are improving it yearly. It isn't so rough, just lots of red lights/small towns.
I will be there with my 41 Limited, clone to one of the proposed Brunn sweep spear cars.

I agree with you that the 2013 BCA Nationals in South Bend, Indiana will "produce a good crowd", especially since the last two Nationals were held on the East coast.....just too many miles for the West Coasters. We sure have enough time to promote and encourage everyone to bring their Buick and attend a Nationals.
This might be old news to some, but I just heard last weekend that the original 1954 Buick Wildcat II Motorama car along with the one being cloned by a BCA member, albeit with a later drivetrain, might be on display at the 2013 BCA Nationals. I haven't received my July BUGLE yet . . . . . it may be mentioned in there though.
Looking forward to seeing your super special 1941 Limited.

I reviewed the itinerary in the Bugle and it sounds very nice for those interested in history. I recall once that Indiana had as much or more auto industry in the early years as Michigan.

Lamar, I had hopes of getting the original Wildcat to Seattle for the 2007 BCA Nationals. The Bortz contacts were entirely receptive to the idea, but the club would have needed to pay for the cost of transporting the car both ways, so it proved unworkable for us.
I think it would be realistic to get the car to a BCA meet that is located relatively close to Chicago. How far is South Bend from Chicago?

A ROCK THROW with a strong arm. Depends on WHERE in Chicago, maybe 2 hours at most.
Would be nice, I always loved the concave grills.
