I haven't changed computers nor have I done anything differently to change anything. All of a sudden there's no way to create a new paragraph. It's like the enter key isn't working. I know it is because it works on a couple of other forums, and in Word, Excel, on power points, and in both my email accounts. I know others are having this problem as well. I just received a private message in the same one paragraph format. Makes me look like I wasted all that money on my Master's Degree and need to go back to high school and take freshman English over again. Ed

Hello, Does anyone who owns a classic car have any experience with getting mildew smell out of the inside of the car? I made the mistake of storing it over the winter with the windows rolled up....thought putting 4 dehumidifiers into the cabin would do the trick but they obviously didn't work.

I've tried every home remedy cleaner possible including vinegar, backing soda, alcohol, Fabreeze, bleach and even an enzyme based cleaner from a auto detail shop and another one I bought on line from an eco products company that promised to eliminate any mold but nothing works.

I guess I probably need to go industrial strength and might even have to inject something into the foam inside the seats.

Does anyone know of a sure fire enzyme cleaner or other type of professional strength mold killer that works for sure?

I might have to pull all the seat covers off the frame so I want to do this just once since it's going to cost me a small fortune with the upholstry shop and need something guaranteed to do the job the first time.

I am in need of some information and help. My 1909 Regal has a Schebler Model R that was added sometime in the teens replacing an apparent Model D. A few years ago the float broke up and I cut a new one out of cork, sealed it and installed it. That proved to be trouble. After that, the car would start and run fine but leak terribly when shut off. After numerous (seems like hundreds) times of removing the bowl and adjusting the float I have solved the leak problem (I think) but now the car simply will not start. I have all the literature from the era that instructs how to set up an R but the car will not start (good spark so that is not the problem). This is a crank start car so I am getting a very sore right arm. Does anyone run their car with a Model R and if so, can you help me set up this one so I may drive the Regal. We are supposed to be on a tour a week from Wednesday but I now doubt we shall make it. The other question, and I have asked this to many brass-era car friends with no definitive answer, is there a modern carburetor (or even a different antique one) that one can purchase to replace the R? I did try a Zenith Universal but it leaks gas every time the engine is shut off and apparently is supposed to (instruction sheet said it can leak up to 1/4 cup of gasoline-no good). I am hoping I just do not have the Model R adjusted right. If you can help, I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

OK, I have two gas stations in my area that sell Ethanol free gas, but they only sell 91 or 92 octane. They are not real close, but near enough that if I fill up on those occasion when I am in the area I can keep the cars running on it.

My issue is I would like to use it in my 1933 Chevrolet, but I should be using lower octane gas in this car. I don't want to do any Voodoo chemistry, but are there any professional petroleum engineers on the forum who can tell me what I could put in gas to LOWER the octane rating?

It works great all my other cars.

For example my 2002 BMW Z3 is supposed to use 92 octane and I get 2 miles per gallon better gas mileage with the Ethanol free gas. I have always checked to gas mileage for this car with each fill up by pressing the trip odometer just after I fill up and reading the miles at the next fill up and dividing by the gallons I put in to drive those miles. The cost of the Ethanol free gas is more, but the car runs better and with the extra miles I get per gallon the cost per mile works out to the same cost.

Had a guy offer me a car I could use to patch up one I have here for a good price. Only trouble is he's just over the Canada-Vermont border and neither of us has passports.

Meeting him at the border would work, assuming we can meet, the thing rolls so it should be pretty easy to back up to each other and transfer it from trailer to trailer.

But can that be done? What paperwork will they want? In VT and NY this is a non-title car, and it's not going to be built anyways. I've heard of guys going into Canada with no problems, but not as far as coming back.

And it's a $400 car that's going to cost another $300 to get, so I don't want to dump $150 into a passport to boot when odds are I'll never use it again.
