and put away my three keepers; 40 Special Sport Phaeton (moved in pieces), 53 Roadmaster wagon (trailered from Sacramento), and 65 Gran Sport convertible that I had just bought in Glendora (east of Pasadena) and driven home. Other cars, most all Buicks, have also been in and out over the years, but these three have not been touched since going in.
Last month I sold my Reatta coupe, and a month earlier I located a rebuilt? Dynaflow for the 53, so I decided it was time to clean up, reshuffle, and find out just what was buried back in the corner.

Here's what it looked like when I started

It's exciting to be able to check out and go through these cars once again. They're not quite as good as I remember, but all three are extremely solid complete original cars. Now I have to decide if I'll keep the 65 or sell it to have more funds for the other two.

]]> Me and My Buick Buick Bruce http://forums.aaca.org/f163/my-barn-cars-272182.html My first barn find http://forums.aaca.org/f163/my-first-barn-find-271805.html Mon, 09 Nov 2009 16:45:39 GMT Was at a halloween party telling a friend of my looking at a 39 Special the day before when he tells me "Steve has a 39 Buick in his barn" 20 minutes later we were looking at a 38 Special that has been sitting there for 22-23 years. I bought the car on the spot and now he has to put in a door to get it out after an addition was added to tha barn. Looks to be all original, I could not find a dent or ding on her but she is awful dirty. Missing the radio and has the wrong carb--the correct carb may be in the trunk. Glass looks to be good and only found a little surface rust on her. Steering wheel needs help and I sure hope the green corrosion cleans off her chrome and stainless.

It carries the pennant of the 2/9th Australian Division

1941 and 42 Buicks were Staff cars for Australian Generals
and were left in civilian colours with penants and formation signs only
